Why telehealth?

Accessibility across the country

Children in regional parts of the country are considerably more vulnerable to communication delays and disorders due to a lack of services and other contextual factors (Jones et. al., 2018).

Our goal is to make speech pathology services accessible to a wider range of clients, especially to children who live in rural or remote areas. We are proud to offer our telehealth therapy services nationwide.

Telehealth offers flexibility and comfort in your own home

For busy parents and children who like routine and feel more confident in their own space at home, telehealth is a perfect option, and it can fit into their day much more easily. We utilise games, objects, and places that children themselves are familiar with and will be using in their day-to-day life. As much of telehealth for babies and toddlers is geared towards parent consultation, the clinical goals are the exact same as face-to-face delivery, just more convenient.

Practice Skills at Home Where They’re Needed

Telehealth allows children to build up skills in a familiar environment and work towards goals that are meaningful and practical to their daily life. They can utilise opportunities to put their skills straight to use, helping them to retain their new skills more easily.
